This morning I went to practise yoga. Lately I've been practising more, because I feel my soul is thirsty for it.
At the end of every yoga practice (not only at our studio…) we pause and say thank you. Thank you to the body, thank you for the time, thank you to yoga, and thank you for the privilege of practising at all.
That gratitude always reminds me that nothing should be taken for granted – but in the past month we understand it more than ever…
Since Saturday, 7.10, all our lives stopped at once. We all discovered that waking up in the morning is a privilege.
I decided to dedicate this month's blog to saying thank you. Thank you for what we have. We don't always appreciate the things that seem obvious.

Getting up for work feels like another chore, taking the kids to school is a complicated task, working out is just about keeping the body strong and healthy.
Now we can see how untrue that is!
Today I'm grateful that I work, and I'm happy about the long hours at the studio – especially when I'm with you.
I'm happy when I hear the children's voices in the kindergarten next door, which until a few days ago may have felt annoying or out of place.
I look forward to moving during the day and letting my mind stop thinking about what's happening outside, even if only for a little while.
Right now, for me, movement matters more for the soul than for the physical body.
Now that we're immersed in the news all day, we need that disconnection, even if it's only for an hour.
I want to give thanks for the privilege of having you, for coming to train with us and warming our hearts every single day.
And it doesn't matter whether you're training at the studio or on Zoom, whether you're on reserve duty, or maybe just at home and only talking to us on the phone. Thinking of you gives us strength, especially in this hard time.

I hope you're all getting through this time with at least a little sanity, as much as possible, and that you're finding those moments of disconnection, even if in a different way.
It's important to me that you know I'm here for each and every one of you – for a talk about whatever is on your heart, not just for a workout.
Thank you for being you.

Family movement
The summer holidays bring plenty of challenges – routine, screen time and the endless search for something to do – but also a great opportunity: family quality time that doesn't have to mean screens or another trip to an air-conditioned mall with junk food.
