Sometimes we take it so much for granted – but have you ever stopped to think how wonderful our ability to move really is? Movement is one of the greatest gifts our body gives us. It lets us explore the world, express ourselves and live full, healthy lives.
Movement isn't only physical activity – it's also how we communicate with our surroundings and the people we love. Every time we move, we tell a story: our story, our feelings, our thoughts.

Awareness of movement
How many times a day do we take our ability to move for granted? In the fast, intense rush of life, it's easy to forget to appreciate the simplicity and beauty of being able to move. But every small movement – lifting a cup of coffee in the morning, walking the dog in the park, picking up our child or dancing without thinking – is a small miracle. When we're aware of our movements, we learn to appreciate our body more and understand how much it can give us.
When we train mindfully, movement becomes a moving meditation. We focus on every breath and every movement and create a deeper connection with our body and mind. It's not only about improving our physical abilities, but also strengthening our ability to be present in the moment – a kind of mindfulness therapy!

Strengthening and lengthening the muscles
To keep this wonderful ability to move, it's important to strengthen and lengthen our muscles. Strengthening the muscles doesn't only support the body's structure and improve posture – it also gives us a sense of strength and confidence. Lengthening the muscles increases our flexibility and lets us move with ease and softness. It's no secret that I encourage yoga and Pilates, because they really are wonderful tools for this – they don't only strengthen and lengthen the muscles, they also help us find our inner quiet.
A training plan that balances strengthening and lengthening lets our body work at its best. Strong muscles prevent injuries and improve our ability to handle everyday effort. Long muscles improve our range of motion and let us move freely and comfortably.

Movement isn't just a biological need – it's a central part of our lives. Let's stop for a moment, become aware of our movements, strengthen and lengthen our muscles, and experience the wonderful world of Movement. Let's remember to appreciate our ability to move, and keep moving through life with love and joy. So come on – let's set out on a journey of movement and discover together the strength and beauty of our body.
If you'd like to get to know your movement a little better, here are a few suggestions:
Daily attention: spend a few minutes a day being aware of your movements. Try to focus on your breath and on how your body feels as you move.
Yoga and Pilates: these practices will help you strengthen and lengthen your muscles and find inner balance.
A movement routine: try to add varied movement to your daily routine – even if it's just dancing in the living room or a walk in the park.
Movement is life. Let's move, get stronger, lengthen, and enjoy the wonderful gift our body gives us.

Family movement
The summer holidays bring plenty of challenges – routine, screen time and the endless search for something to do – but also a great opportunity: family quality time that doesn't have to mean screens or another trip to an air-conditioned mall with junk food.
